Joe Bark has been hand-shaping paddleboards for more than 23 years and has shaped more than 1500 custom boards. His stock and unlimited paddleboards hold
numerous records with Tim Gair on his unlimited board in the Catalina Classic and Gary Fortune on his stock board. Joe’s paddleboards have won the Molokai Open Ocean Race in both the unlimited and the stock
classes. As an avid paddler himself, Joe has completed the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race for 22 years. In those 22 years he’s had two 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes.
With feedback from
many excellent paddlers and watermen Joe knows what works best in the many conditions that nature has to offer. After 15 trial boards Joe Bark has now come up with two perfect paddleboards for Surftech, a 12-foot
stock paddleboard and a 14-foot paddleboard. The 12-foot paddleboard is designed for men and women with weights of 140-185 pounds while the 14-foot paddleboard is designed for those weighing 160-240 pounds. With the
